Morocco Disqualified From 2015 AFCON By CAF

Morocco will not host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed.
The CAF met in Cairo on Tuesday in a bid to find a solution to their African Nations Cup problem.
They recently rejected host Morocco’s request for it to be postponed and today stripped the country of its hosting rights.
Additionally, the CAF have expelled Morocco from the tournament – which they had qualified for, as hosts.
The north African country wanted the competition to be postponed over fears of a possible spread of the Ebola virus.
Nevertheless, the CAF are still pressing ahead with its plan to host the competition on the scheduled dates of January 17-February 8.
They declared today that they have received several offers from countries to step in as hosts.
Both Egypt and South Africa have publicly declared that they are unwilling to host the 2015 tournament, while Ghana also turned down the opportunity to host the event on Monday.
“The representation we have received from people in the health sector [means] it doesn’t look [like] Ghana is in a position to accepting hosting the tournament and we have conveyed this message to CAF,” said sports minister Mahama Ayariga.
