Breaking News: W.H.O Officially declares Nigeria Ebola Free


The World Health Organization today 20th October, 2014 declared Nigeria free of the deadly Ebola Virus.

Nigeria has not recorded a new case of Ebola for 42 days or two incubation period of 21 days.  
The disease gained entry into the country in July when Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, came in on diplomatic assignment.
The diplomat had fallen ill and was admitted at the First Consultants Hospital, Obalende, in Lagos were he later passed away.

indeed this is a victory for all Nigerians who worked hard to contain the virus.

A 19-year-old Kika Onyibe, a Law student at Birmingham University, UK, passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, during a surgery for ruptured appendix in a Lagos hospital. According to her boyfriend, Emmanuel Ayoola, she had traveled to Nigeria from the UK to receive treatment for what she thought was an infection but ended up being a ruptured appendix. It was later gathered that Kika died due to complications from the surgery.
